Johnson Square is a vibrant new traditional neighborhood located in Northwest Arkansas. The land planner and town architect of Johnson Square is Michael Watkins Architect, LLC who used to work for Duany Plater-Zyberk & Company as their Director of Town Planning. Johnson Square started to come to life following a charette led by Michael Watkins Architect, LLC in 2015 which included Michael Mesko, Michael Romero, and our very own principal Eric Brown.

Brown Design has helped to design multiple buildings for Johnson Square including mixed-use, multi-family, and single family units. The medical building is a large 26,000 sq.ft. two story medical office building. The overall design had to fit within the urban fabric of Johnson Square and function for a speculative medical office space. Brown Design worked alongside SCM Architects of Fayetteville to complete this immense project. The final built design features a grand entrance with a classic triangular pediment supported by two doric columns with more simple and traditional left and right wings. The rear south facing facade includes a beautiful bay that offers natural light while the dark color contrasts nicely with the ivory brick building. The medical building is now home to Swetnam Cosmetic Surgery which includes a Med Spa wing.
